This furniture is a multifunctional, mobile storage unit crafted from light Okoumé wood, designed with versatility and elegance in mind. Created as part of a project proposal won by the collective to furnish the communal terrace of the new LAN building, Wood UP. This work combines functionality with aesthetic simplicity to enhance the shared outdoor space.
When closed, the unit appears as a simple, compact cube with a minimalist design, featuring discreet cut-out handles and a natural wood finish. Resting on four casters, it’s easy to move across different spaces, adding flexibility to any environment.
When opened, the upper section reveals a vibrant orange interior and a hidden compartment that unfolds to create additional surface space, ideal for use as a bar or serving station. The lower drawer provides extra storage, enhancing the unit's functionality. This thoughtful combination of hidden compartments and smooth mechanisms aligns with the collective’s vision for adaptable, communal furniture that fosters a welcoming atmosphere on the terrace, making it a stylish and practical addition to modern shared spaces.
